A new organic grocer will be springing up in South Florida’s crowded field of supermarket chains.
Sprouts Farmers Market is planning to open two stores, in Deerfield Beach and Wellington, according to a news release. No dates were given for the openings.
The Phoenix-based healthy grocery chain is similar to niche markets such as Lucky’s Market, and features produce in the center of the store, a deli, butcher shop and fish market, and vitamins and supplements.
Sprouts employs more than 28,000 in 300 stores nationwide. It currently operates five stores in Florida, among 15 other states. It has also announced openings in Naples, Clearwater, Winter Park and Oviedo.
The new South Florida stores will be at the corner of Federal Highway and Southeast 10th Street in Deerfield Beach and at State Road 7 and Old Hammock Way in Wellington.
